Nice cabins, Spacious uncluttered sun decks with sun mattresses Covered aft deck with dining area, Large saloons with bar and dining facilities Fully- equipped professional galleys Private shower & toilet in each cabin with hot water Powerful engines for safe cruising Carefully chosen crew.

More about Gulets:
Gulets differ in size and layout and all of them have cabins with en-suite showers and toilets, and plenty of headroom. The crew are accommodated in separate quarters. Guests usually dine around a large table, on the aft deck, all yachts also have indoor dining areas and galleys .

Precise origins of the use of the word gulet in present-day Turkish are unclear, although French references to 'goulettes' can be found in the 18th century. In Turkish, it does not appear to be widely used until the latter part of the 20th century with the advent of large-scale tourism. The term gulet, (variants include gulette, goulette, and guletta) also began to include other Turkish wooden boats of similar design as the “ ayna kic “similar to a gulet but has a squared off stern. The primary advantage over a gulet is to the crew and passengers in the form of increased cabin space with an aft master cabin or separate crew quarters. over the ayna kic. Translate

Large gulets take from nine months to a couple of years to be completed, employing a steady work force of men. Costs for these magnificent vessels range anywhere from 100,000.-Eur for a simple 15 meter boat to up to 1 Milion Eur for the most luxurious gulets.

Some boatyards work in steel or fiberglass but the main building material is still the local pine. Found in three varieties: white, red and black, the latter two are preferable for their hardness and high resin content.

Once in the water, a properly maintained boat can last for 30 years. Each winter most boats are taken out of the water and lined rail to rail in boatyards for their winter maintenance.
Today boatyards are located everywhere in Turkey , but most popular are in Tuzla     (Istanbul ), Bodrum and Bozburun.
