Britons in search for high quality homes
in the Sun
The Adriatic coastline is full of high quality,
affordable properties waiting for new owners. However, one has to
bear in mind that these properties are available only for citizens of
Croatia as there are various restrictions in place for foreigners who
would like to buy in. With us you can rest assured that we will
find the legal way around and even better, build the home of your choice
in the place of your choice and that all for less than you would expect.
Are you looking for a holiday home in a
place with lots of sunshine, crystal clear blue sea, clean white blue
beaches and friendly people as your neighbours who all but speak at
least two foreign languages including English? Add to that
comparatively low prices and higher quality and availability of all
modern facilities you would expect as at your own home, then there is
no country-location better than CROATIA.
Growing number of British people are
discovering this beauty again after the end of 1980's, before the
Croatia becoming an independent country. Croatian government is
maintaining high level of tourism quality here so even in the highest
season peaks you will find that country is not a destination such as
Spain for example where mass, low quality tourism can cause headaches to
their owners wanting to relax.
Croatia is also far less spoilt and built
up than Spain. At the same time, however it offers the facilities
of the same high standard as exclusive holiday resorts in France do.
There are also lots of new developments, both commercial and housing, so
the choice is yours. Whether you prefer a holiday home or are
preparing to invest in a hotel or shopping mall, opportunities are
great.
Development
One must be aware though that although
the country is developing rapidly with 3 new motorways being built at
the same time, one of which will connect continental Croatia and its
capital Zagreb with all of the coastline until 2005, there is
still lots of work in progress.
The Adriatic Riviera has already won back
its previous popularity. Some places like Trogir attract worlds
jet set and many other distinguished yacht owners. The country
boasts with several festivals in every major town or city during the
year, the infrastructure is largely built up, foreign direct investment
is growing rapidly which is all a guarantee that CROATIA and its
properties are set to increase in value rapidly after all governments
initiatives are completed and especially once Croatia joins European
Union (predicted entry 2007).
If you are in search of a more peaceful
retreat, there are also plethora of land plots available (as well as family homes, villas or even smaller
apartments) hidden away from the watchful eye of locals or tourists.
Close ties of Croatia with EU and the economy which has been flooded
with foreign investors in recent years has already contributed to rise
in property and land prices. Nevertheless, the prices are still
considerably low at this very moment and the opportunity to cease
the moment has arrived for many. Thanks to our expertise in
acquiring land at competitive rates and due to our time saving and cost
efficient way of building, you may find that building a new house in
Croatia can be far more acceptable than buying something which is bound
to satisfy your needs only partially.
Stories
There are already hundreds of clients from
Germany and Austria and even Italy as those countries are traditionally
more interested in the Adriatic coastline than the Britons are.
Nevertheless, there are numerous examples of British people
who have 'settled' in CROATIA and we would be more than happy to tell
you about some of the experiences.
Margaret and John Whittal bought a family
house on the island of Mljet, arguably Europe's most beautiful National
Park. They have done so primarily because of the mild climate even
during the winter months and more than affordable price of £30.000 in
2001. The prices have already jumped since then and they expect to
be able to sell the house now, without any refurbishment or other work
being done in the last 2 years, for more than £60.000. John
said: Even though We have made a great investment there is no way we
will sell the house now as this is the most beautiful place we have ever
been to !
People
The people in Croatia are also great.
They all speak foreign languages, welcome foreigners and especially
westerners with open hands and consider themselves as part of western
culture as well. Given the entrepreneurs mind of locals as well
you are bound to feel comfortable and with ease with them as no
encounter will be without purpose as you may find to be the case in some
neighbouring countries such as Romania or Bulgaria on the Black sea
coast, where locals may be friendly but are also less appreciative of
your private sphere.
Croatian people are also one of the most
educated Europeans, with every second citizen owning a high quality
honours degree. This is especially the case with locals along the
Adriatic coast where the influence of foreign tourists has shaped their
mind and spirits to the edge.
Security
Some Britons may think that CROATIA is
still primitive, former communist country, but one has to be aware that
Croatia has been one of the most prosperous country in Eastern Europe
prior to 1991
and the communism regime in Croatia was far more advanced that that
which ruled in former Russian block states for decades. Croatia is
now one of the few tourist destinations in the world which is free from
terrorist threats and strong presence of NATO guarantees the peace in
the region.
Living Costs
The living
costs are also lower than in Britain although some hardware products and
services may be at the same price level or even more expensive.
This however will not affect your feeling of living or holidaying in one
of the most secure countries on the Earth, where children of youngest
age are going to school on their own are being left to play on their own
in the park while parents can relax sitting in one of the numerous
gardens, eat wide choice of fresh fish available all over the country on
a daily basis and sip down home made Croatian wine of any sort and very
high quality.
