BVI's Charter Base:

About:
This well equipped marina is located in a natural basin on the Island of Tortola. It has berths for 180 motor cruisers and yachts. Chandlery and provisions are available from the waterfront shopping mall.

Position:
The clear crystal waters surrounding Nanny Cay make it one of the finest snorkeling and diving centers in the world. A visit to 'The Caves' or 'The Indians' is a pleasure worthy of unique status. The blockbuster movie, "The Deep", starring Jacqueline Bisset and Nick Nolte, was largely filmed within and around the wreck of the RMS Rhone situated in shallow waters nearby.

Approach:
Use
VHF 16/68 just prior to your arrival.  You can also contact the marina office up to 24h in advance and reserve a mooring place.  The marina office is open from 8am to 6.30pm, 365 days a year.

Water Supply
All docks have high quality potable water available. Nanny Cay has its own new reverse osmosis water plant producing 50,000 gallons daily, tested regularly to ensure compliance with US Federal Water Quality requirements. If you wish water to your slip, a meter reading will be taken when the supply is turned on, and again prior to departure, or monthly for longer stay visitors. (Please let staff know if you wish the supply to remain on during the duration of your stay). Please note that if the supply remains on, you are responsible for the metered quantity of water used.
Electricity Supply
Most slips are equipped with both 110 volt, 30 amp and 220 volt, 50 amp supplies, wired to US specifications. Please inform the Marina of your electrical requirements when reserving a slip. Electricity is charged on a fixed daily basis. Larger vessels with significant power requirements may be required to pay charges based on usage. In such cases, meters will be provided.
Garbage Disposal
There are several garbage disposal points located around the Marina. There is no charge for garbage disposal. If you have industrial waste, for example, oil, batteries etc, please dispose of these in the areas specifically provided for this kind of waste in the boatyard.
