Palmizana - an ideal holiday resort for anyone  who desires  high class tourism, who wishes for something unique: a different kind of holiday, harmony with nature, quietness...

Palmizana inlet opens in the northern coast of the St. Clement island. When entering the inlet it is essential to pay attention to Baba sandbank which is not always easily seen. When talking about sightseeing, you can reach the attractive Vinogradisce bay on the opposite side of St. Clement by means of a narrow pathway. The bay can also be reached by sea, given that the depth ranges from 15 metres maximum. Worth visiting is the Soline bay, west of Vinogradisce. The bay is sheltered by the Dobri islet.

The Pakleni Islands are amongst favourite destinations of boaters in the Adriatic. They are a group of small islands, partly wooded in the immediate vicinity of the town of Hvar on the Island Hvar, with pebbly and sandy beaches offering you all benefits of enjoyable solitude in nature, and then a peaceful evening spent with friends: the perfect end to a day on holiday.

ACI marina Palmizana lies in an attractive bay on St. Klement Island, the largest island in the archipelago.  Klement is the largest of 21 islands in the Islands of Pakleni archipelago, which includes some spectacular cliffs. The shore has numerous small coves and sandy beaches. For those fond of intact nature, Palmizana is the perfect destination. Magnificent coves and clean beaches will offer each tourist unforgettable moments of peace and tranquillity. This is the right place for swimming, watersports where the beauties of diving and fishing are "breathtaking" for each visitor. In the ACI marina and its immediate vicinity are several well-known seafood restaurants that will satisfy even the most demanding gourmets.

ACI marina Palmizana lies in Palmizana Bay on the northeastern coast of St. Klement Island.  The nearest fuel station (2.5 Nm) is in the Hvar harbour.  The marina is protected from all winds except those from the north and northeast, while strong south and southwest winds can cause swells.
Open: mid March - end October

Berth: The marina has 160 berths, all with water and power supply.

Facilities: Reception, exchange office, restaurant, toilets and showers, grocery store. The nearest gas station (2.5 Nm) is in the Hvar harbor (Križna luka). Since August 1999 ACI marina Palmi?ana has continuous power supply and more power supply at the marina piers.

Note 1: .Marina is situated in one of the safest natural harbours on the Adriatic Sea, renowned for its safety since ancient times. It is situated 3,5 km from Hvar. It offers 190 moorings with optional connections to the water and electric power, telephone and VHF links.
Note 2:
When approaching care should be taken of the reef Baba, in front of the entrance into the cove.  The reef cannot be easily seen.

Food: Exquisite traditional Palmizana cuisine is praised for it's delicious specialities, based on fish, lobsters, scampi, shellfish and other sea-food served with fresh vegetables from the island gardens. The cuisine has been declared on of the best in the Mediterranean by the German Magazine Boote, English Traveler and Croatian magazines Gloria and Playboy.

Oasis for Naturists

The Pakleni Otoci are the most beautiful part of the Hvar riviera, if not of the whole Dalmatian coast. A cluster of wooded islands immersed in a translucent, azure sea, numerous bathing places, a myriad of small, secluded beaches, stone terraces facing the sun and beautiful deserted coves make up, as somebody said, an "arcadia within reach". The favourite excursion spots are (from east to west): Jerolim and Stipanska beaches, where clothing-optional sunbathing isn't really an option -- total tanning is de rigueur.
The coast is mostly rocky but there are also many small coves with shingle/sandy beaches.
Numerous other naturist beaches can be found all along the islands. All of the Paklina islands are clothing optional.

On Palmizana you can freely cast your clothes away nudism has a tradition on Palmizana, where you can be undisturbed in one of the island's many lonely coves.

Palmizana was declared one of the »10 Dream Points of the Adriatic« in 1999. In a poll by the Cruising World magazine thousands of yachtsmen said that the coast of Croatia is the most beautiful in the world, together with that of the caribbean. The Traveller magazine deckared the island of Hvar one of ten most beautiful islands in the world. And what would Hvar be without its archipelago and Palmizana? It seems almost unecessary to say that Palmizana is one of the most beautifuls places in the world.
This area of the Adriatic hides the greates number of antique shipwrecks and places on the sea-bed where one can easily find amphorae. The sea around the Palmizana is a treasury of fish, coral and incredibly beautiful undersea landscapes
, a true paradise for visitors with their own yacht.

The botanical gardens of Palmizana are full of exotic plants, tree-like opuntias, agaves, numerous other cacti and succulents, mimosas, eucalyptuses, laurels, olives and different kinds of aromatic herbs and plants. The Meneghello family once owned the oldest aromatic herb and plant processing factory. Their »Quintessenza«, medicine made from rosemary, first manufactured in 1848 can still be found in every home medicine cabinet. The rosemary, which blooms several times a year on every slope on Palmizana, filling the air with it's heady scent gave Palmizana it's second name: The Island of the Rosemary. Aloa, the plant that is said to be given to mankind by God because it cures manny ills, even cancer, and also grows everywhere.
