Punat - Our base in the North of the Dalmatian island world is located in one of
the oldest and best-known marinas in Croatia. Punat on the
island of Krk is easily accessible by car taking the
bridge from Rijeka. This may be one of the reasons why this port
is so particularly popular among our charter guests. Most of them start their cruises from Krk sailing
southwards. Already the immediate environment has many amazing destinations to offer - above all
charming Rab, which
is one of the most popular resorts in Croatia. Due to its unique geographical
position and its beautiful town centre
with numerous ancient Venetian buildings it has always
attracted big crowds of tourists. The coast itself
with its lovely scenery, innumerable coves
and abundance in natural beauty offers stunning mooring places, too.
Places to visit: While it is advisable to avoid the Velebitski Canal because of the imminent danger of upcoming bura, there are numerous attractive destinations located seawards. For example the Isle of Losinj with its lively main town Mali Losinj, or the quieter town of
Veli Losinj, and numerous pretty coves such as Krivica. Sailing
on you will find many more
highlights: Susak, Ilovik,
Silba, Olib, Ist or Molat are not far away,
and each of these islands is worth a cruise because of their idyllic villages
with small, picturesque ports and romantic coves. Many of these bays have recently been equipped with
buoys for ensuring safe mooring. The list of attractive destinations farther
south is nearly endless, but many of these
destinations are already located near to our next charter base - namely Zadar.
