The original idea of Sun Odyssey 50 DS consisted of creating light inside to wake up the large living areas. The glass roof and the large hull ports provide lots of light. The raised saloon offers a view of the water when seated through the hull ports while the sleek fixed windows of the coach roof provide light and a feeling of openness.

You will appreciate the ease of handling this large seafaring sailboat. The impressive list of standard equipped includes a furling mainsail, long Harken traveller, double anchor rollers with powerful anchor windlass, forward sail locker, dedicated liferaft storage and room for lots of optional equipment.

The three-part cockpit features twin steering wheels at the helm, an open-air saloon with comfortable bench seating for entertaining around a generously sized cockpit table, and an additional lounge area for relaxing while underway.

The layout on deck is incredibly simple and uncluttered adding to the overall beauty of the boat. The interior layout features a large L-shaped galley, a chart table with rollaway top, a spacious U-shaped saloon, and the choice of an owner’s cabin located forward or aft, with either two aft cabins or two forward cabins, each equipped with private head and shower compartments.
