Designed by Philippe Briand , Vittorio Garroni, and the Jeanneau
Design Team, the new 49DS shares many similarities with those of the
54DS. The most obvious of these similarities is found in the sculpted
coach roof complete with signature cat-eye windows. The cockpit is
large and comfortable and features twin steering wheels with the
primary winches located well aft within easy reach of the helmsman.
