CAUTION: Any suggested itinerary or route and information provided are not substitute for pilot books and marine charts. We refuse to accept any responsibility for any loss or damage caused by holding on suggested routes or information provided.

Island Zut is seen as part of the Kornati Archipelago which consist of some 140 islands, islets and reefs. In the vicinity of the Kornati Islands, lies the island of Žut. Its numerous coves are ideal shelter for different types of smaller boats. Inhabitants of Murter occasionally come to Žut to carry on the olive-growing and fishing tradition. Some of the inhabitants have recognized the needs of modern tourists, so Zut has become famous for Robinsonian-like tourism. Pristanište, a village on Žut, is by the number of houses the largest settlement of the whole Kornati Islands. The southern part of the island is completely uninhabited.

ACI marina is situated in the cove of Podrazanj which is part of the long Zut inlet on the north-eastern coast of the island of Zut. During strong north-east wind anchorage in eastern part of marina pier is recommended, while during strong sirocco it is safer to use the western part of the pier. Facilities available are showers with hot water, restaurant, small grocery shop, electric power and water.

West of ACI marina Žut is the 163 m high hill Tvrdomešnjak, from which a magnificent view stretches on the western part of the Kornati Archipelago and Telaščica Cove on Dugi otok.

Approach:
If coming from the open sea the nearest passages are Proversa Vela, between the islands of Katina and Kornat, and Proversa Mala, between the islands of Dugi Otok and Katina. Both are shallow, narrow and require caution.
When approaching from the west (from Kornati National Park) the shortest way to reach Žut is through Proversa vela or Proversa mala passage. During night approach through Proversa mala passage is safer, since the passage is well lighted. If approaching from the direction of Zadar the course leads through Mali Ždrelac passage (bridge height 12.5 m). At the entrance to Žut inlet where ACI marina Žut is situated there is Maslinjak Island. The latitude and longitude of the northern cape of Maslinjak Island are 43°53,2' N 15°18,8' E.

Berth: The marina has 120 berths. Vessels with draft over 3 m anchor at the eastern part of the pier or at the end of the western pier. Berths have water and power supply. Water supply for vessels' purposes is limited.

Facilities: Reception, exchange office, restaurant, telephone, toilets and showers, grocery store, emergency water supply possible. The nearest gas station is in Zaglav on the Island of Dugi otok (8 Nm).

The marina electricity supply is available from 8am to noon, and from 6pm to midnight. Water is only available between 8am and 10am. There is a washing machine available.

Note 1: To get to Zut from Telascica bay you have to pass through Mala Proversa which follows port and starboard lights of the passage.
